Coln St Aldwyns Walk & Route Map
This lovely Cotswold walk around Coln St Aldwyns is a gentle, scenic route that’s ideal for a relaxed day out.
Starting near the pub, the walk crosses the bridge over the pretty River Coln, then meanders through open fields and woodland before following the river back towards the village.
Short, peaceful, and especially enjoyable in good weather, it finishes perfectly with the option of refreshments at The New Inn.

The walk
Coln St Aldwyns Walk
This beautiful Cotswold walk is similar to our Quenington walk but is a little shorter and doesn't take you past the pub in Quenington! There is roadside parking outside the pub in Coln St Aldwyns.
Following the road out of the village you will cross the bridge and the pretty River Coln and then follow the footpath across the open fields and woodlands until you join the River Coln, flowing alongside the fields back to the start of the walk. A pretty walk which is great to do on a sunny day.

The most perfect cotswold walk and excellent pub in village.

Great walk, very pretty in Spring with lots of blossom, etc. Short, steep bit about half way around then downhill at the end or you can go the other way round and do the steep bit first - go through the gate by the cottage and bear left for the climb first if you want that challenge at the beginning.

Park outside the new inn pub and short roadwalk, this time of year it was very muddy and still pheasant scents about in the woods. Due to recent wet weather the river side walk is very wet but beautiful scenery. The pub at the end is a welcome finish!

Amazing walk with stunning views. I had to take a slight detour due to flooding but that just got me into the woods sooner. A great dog friendly walk, with lots of off lead time. Facilities in the village but nothing en route.
