The Blockley walks offer a lovely choice of routes from the heart of Blockley, a characterful Cotswold village once known for its silk and mill production, with the pretty Blockley Brook still winding through the centre.

The shorter walk is a gentle circuit that leads you out across open pastureland and small copses before looping back to the village, while the longer route ventures further into classic Cotswold countryside towards the expansive Batsford Estate, passing close to Batsford Arboretum and the Falconry Centre should you fancy a detour.

Expect rolling fields, peaceful rural views, a few quiet lanes and some gentle inclines along the way, making Blockley a rewarding base for a scenic walk that blends village charm with wide-open landscapes.

This walk starts in the village of Blockley and is the shorter of two walks from this location.

Blockley, once known for it's silk and mill production has the pretty Blockley Brook winding through the village and this was used in the Mill productions around 1884.

The walk leads you out of the village across open pastureland and copses bringing you back to the village.

The longer version of this walk will take you to the Batsford Estate.

This is the longer version of two walks from this location and starts in the village of Blockley, once known for it's Silk and Mill production in the 1800's.

The walk leads you out of the village across open pastureland towards the 4,500 acre Batsford Estate. The walk also takes you close to the Batsford Arboretum and Falconry Centre if you wanted to detour.

There are some lovely views as you walk around the Cotswold countryside. There is some road walking on quiet lanes and some inclines during the course of the walk.

Lovely countryside to wander through and 2 churches to visit in Batsford and Blockley. Super café in Blockley upon return! Def a muddy route unless there’s not been any rain for a while.

20/8/25 - a couple of quite steep climbs, not many drinking spots for the dog, but overall a very pleasant walk.
