This easy and enjoyable walk starts in the charming Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill and is perfect for a relaxed countryside outing.
Setting off from the village, the route leads you through open fields and rolling farmland, passing a small stream and offering lovely rural views along the way. There is a little road walking on a narrow track, but it’s all part of the gentle village atmosphere.
Conveniently, the route begins close to the welcoming The Horse and Groom, with a short optional diversion included to guide you there, making this a wonderfully simple walk with the promise of well-earned refreshments at the end.

The walk
Bourton-on-the-hill Walk
A easy but lovely walk starting in the pretty Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-hill.
The route takes you through fields, open countryside and past a small stream. There is some road walking but it is a narrow track.
The village has a pub which is very close to the starting point of the walk and we have added a short diversion to help guide you there.

Pleasant walk to append to a visit to the beautiful Bourton Hill House. Easy to navigate. Not especially box-office but works well as a short ramble in high Cotswold landcape. We were lucky to have a warm sunny day with newborn lambs in the fields.

According to my tracker the route was 4 mile,...but very easy going with fabulous views until the last stage. A steady climb but at 74 yrs left me a little beathless....Lunch at the Horse
