Toot Hill Walks & Route Maps

This first route from Toot Hill is a simple countryside ramble in the pretty countryside around the village.

You'll head out of the village along a quiet lane and then a farm track that takes you past some horse enclosures and offers nice views as you go.

The final track that takes you back to the village can get very muddy after wet weather, so suitable footwear would be essential if it's been raining. There are also a couple of high stiles to tackle.

When you do get back, you can be rewarded with some nice refreshments at the village pub.

This second route from Toot Hill is basically an extended version of the first route for those of you that have a bit more time for your walk and want to add some woodland to your adventure.

As with the first route, you'll head out of the village along a quiet lane and then a farm track with horses and nice views. After that, the extra distance takes you on a long stroll through the pretty Ongar Park Wood before heading back through more countryside.

As with the first route, there are some sections that can get muddy after wet weather, so wellies could be required. There are also a couple of high stiles to tackle.
