This walk is a peaceful countryside walk from the tiny village of Stanford Rivers, beginning and ending beside its pretty church.
This walk heads out across open farmland with wide skies and very little shade, with the option to detour into Chipping Ongar for refreshments part way round.

The walk
Stanford Rivers Walk
This walk is a simple countryside ramble in the farmland and countryside to the north of Stanford Rivers, where you start and end at the tiny village's pretty church.
This walk is quite exposed to the sun with not a lot of shade, so please be prepared if it's a very hot day.
Whilst there are no refreshment stops directly on the route, you can take an optional excursion into Chipping Ongar about two thirds of the way around the walk. There's also a train station in Chipping Ongar about 1km from the route.
