Weald Country Park Walk and Map

Weald Country Park is one of Essex's most beautiful parks. It has a vast array of different walking areas to enjoy including woodlands, parkland, country lanes and lakes.

This first route is a short family-friendly walk that enjoys a walk around the lake on solid paths that are suitable for wheels.

There is a bit of a slope down to the lake and back up, but it isn't too steep, and there is a cafe at the start of the walk.

This second route is a much longer adventure that takes in the full length and depth of this wonderful park.

You can expect a climb to the Weald Belvedere Temple Mount, lots of walking through wonderful woodland, some strolling through open meadows with lovely views and a great selection of spring flowers in places before reaching the lake for the final part of this varied walk.

The whole park can get a bit boggy after wet weather, so please wear appropriate footwear after wet weather!
