Walk information
This is a wonderful short walk around the pretty ponds in the village of Little Easton.
You'll first stroll down and walk around the beautiful Rectory Ponds, before heading up into the grounds of the Little Easton Manor where you can stroll around another pretty lake and enjoy the tasty Tea Room delights.
There is also a lovely pub in the village, just a short stroll up from the start point.

This second route option is a longer walk that enjoys the wonderful undulating countryside between the villages of Little Easton and Great Easton.
It's a very peaceful stroll that goes on public and permissive footpaths through the farmed fields between the villages. There is a lovely pub in Little Easton near the start of the walk, but you'll also visit the village of Great Easton where there is another great pub for refreshments.

First-hand experiences
Really enjoyed this walk. Takes in two picturesque villages and lots of open countryside. Lots of planes overhead . Unfortunately one pub was closed and the other not serving food so check if you are planning on visiting either. We ended up in Great Dunmow and had a nice meal in The Saracens Head.
Walk information
This third route option is basically the first and second routes added together to form one long adventure in this beautiful area of peaceful Essex countryside.
We would recommend you do the long countryside stretch first and finish up the walk with the smaller loop of walking around the lakes before visiting the delicious cafe for refreshments.
