This longer route also takes you on a stroll around the Aubrey Buxton Nature Reserve. However, for those of you with more time, it also takes you on a loop around the outskirts of the reserve, exploring farmland, meadows and leafy lanes.
You can get to this route with a short walk from the Stansted Mountfitchet train station and there are a number of eateries in the village that you can follow the optional detour to get to.
There is also a small amount of road walking along a quiet lane on this route to be aware of.

Lovely walk, well kept paths and woods
Again, thanks to the app, we’ve found another beautiful walk. Although this place is almost on our doorstep, we didn’t know it existed. A lovely walk in the sunshine, great for family and dogs. Easy going and no mud. The shorter walk around the reserve only is less than a mile. Small parking area, but we had no problems on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
