The walk
Sherston Walk
This long circular route explores the varied countryside around the village of Sherston, combining open farmland with quieter, more sheltered sections along the way.
Later on, gentle riverside stretches add contrast before the route loops back towards the village.
There is some road walking to be aware of, but it’s balanced by plenty of peaceful countryside.
Back in Sherston, the Rattlebone Inn makes a welcoming place to pause after a satisfying few hours outdoors.

A lovely walk with some very nice views, pretty flat with a couple of slight climbs.

A pleasant hike. However, many of the paths cut straight across the middle of (many) fields, where the crops had grown all up quite high all around. One huge field in particular had lots of cows.

Some of the walk is not obvious, you will need the app to keep you in the right direction. Otherwise an easy walk quite a bit on roads though. Good free parking

Beautiful walk across very pretty countryside. Please note cows in field at end of walk with young so had to climb over 2 gates and cross 2 extra fields to avoid being chased despite not having a dog with us. Apart from that really recommend this walk ended up being 7 miles altogether.

One part which had been cultivate had losts it’s path so was a tad difficult to find the correct direction. Otherwise stunning! Dogs on and off lead, some live stock but no issues for us.
