Little Somerford Walk & Route Map

Lovely walk but muddy in places where livestock is in fields. I recorded it as further than 4.5 miles more like 5.5 miles. Pretty much level walking and accurate map

Had to take a slight detour as Dautsey Horse Trials taking place and route not passable due to horse circuit courses.

A lengthyish walk between and around two beautiful Wiltshire villages… be ready for the livestock: cows, horses, sheep and ducks to encounter! Some of the stiles would benefit from an extra step for those less nimble.

A beautiful walk but a little bit tricky to follow in parts. In August we were faced with the path taking you straight through a cornfield but no pathway so we tried to stick to the outside. So many stiles to climb and some were very old. Even some farmers gates on route were locked with no other way to pass except to climb over. This walk would be very muddy following wet weather. In all it was a very pretty walk and the amazing pub food was the perfect reward at the end!

Looks as if the stiles have been updated. Map could have a bit more detail.

Really lovely countryside walk! Some of the stiles could do with being repaired, buy othwerwise a really nice stroll.

This was an absolutely fabulous walk with 2 dogs. The stiles could do with a little upkeep but usable. The only thing to spoil the walk was a hunt just outside Great Somerford and there were protesters.The Somerford Arms was an absolutely fantastic pub which we highly recommend!!

Lovely walk exploring countryside we would not have seen without the app, but paths were sometimes difficult to guess. Thank goodness the app is live, so you can quickly see if you have taken a wrong turn. In wet weather/floods, parts of this walk would be impassable. Lots of inquisitive farm animals in open pastureland and some wildlife.

Very nice walk. Some of the stiles were broken and a littke overgrown

Lovely country walk, lots of cows so be cautious if you have children or dogs. In summer part of walk takes s direct route through a cornfield. Friendly pub for a well deserved pint!

Lovely varied walk with lots of streams. 1 of which is great for child paddling. Approx 10 stiles on this route.
