This is a delightful family-friendly stroll around the pretty Warburg Nature Reserve which is rich in exciting woodland, plants and animals.
Please note that the road to the car park is in poor condition and may not be suitable for all vehicles.

This is an extended alternative route that also passes through the spectacular Warburg Nature Reserve.
However, this route also offers distant views, more wonderful ancient woodland, a pretty hamlet and the icing on the cake - a lovely traditional country pub with a garden providing views to die for.

First-hand experiences
Lovely walk away from people and traffic with a mixture of woods and fields, nice to be amoungst nature. The drive there from The Fairmile is a bit hairy, single track road with lots of pot holes. I’d suggest parking up at Maidensgrove and starting the route from the top. As of Oct 2024, The Five Horseshoes pub which is mentioned is closed, hopefully reopening under new management soon.
