From a shorter circular outing within the park, to a longer exploration reaching the peninsula viewpoint, or a peaceful there-and-back riverside stretch, the walks offer fresh sea air, big views and flexible options to suit the day.

This is a wonderful short adventure in the beautiful Marsh Farm Country Park.
You can expect lots of vibrant wildlife, glistening water and sea air as you walk around this beautiful area next to the River Crouch.
It can be a bit windy and muddy in places, so please be prepared if the weather requires it.
Walk information
We don't often post 'there and back' linear routes, but this is such a lovely section of riverside path to walk along, we felt it warranted it for this second route option.
You'll simply walk along the side of the majestic River Crouch enjoying the glistening water and sounds of wildlife as you go, and then once you've enjoyed the viewpoint at the end, turn back and enjoy it all over again.
The paths are pretty solid, and for the first half at least, suitable for wheels, especially when it's dry.
Towards the end of the path it can get a bit muddier, so if you have wheels you can go along as far as the conditions allow and then turn back.

This final route option is our longest recommended walk within the beautiful Marsh Farm Country Park.
It is pretty much the same walk as the first route, but this one takes you further into the country park, enjoying the viewpoint at the end of the peninsula and some lovely views over the lakes within the park itself.
It can be a bit muddy in places after wet weather, so please take the appropriate footwear if it's been raining.

First-hand experiences
Lovely, peaceful walk with not many people around initially (set out 2pm on a sunny but blustery Sunday afternoon on a bank holiday weekend). Saw a handful of people setting out when we got back 90 mins or so later, but still only a few cars in the car park. Felt like we were miles away from anything as all we could hear was birdsong (and the wind!). Definitely a walk to recommend for a pleasant, easy stroll.
