Sidney Wood

This first walk is a lovely short stroll around the wonderful woodlands of Sidney Wood.

The route heads south into the lovely woodlands for a while before turning to the right and then following a winding path back up through the woods that tracks the old Wey and Arun canal that was apparently built during the Napoleonic Wars.

As with all woodland walks, it can get muddy in wet weather, so please take appropriate footwear.

if you have a bit more time for your adventure in the lovely Sidney Woods, then this second route option is a much longer loop of walking for you to enjoy.

The walk still fully explores Sidney Wood and follows the winding footpath alongside the remnants of the old Wey and Arun canal, but first it heads a lot further to the south along tracks through more woodland and open countryside making walk that will stretch your legs a bit more.

As with the first route option, there is a lot of woodland walking and it could get muddy in wet weather.
