Selworthy Beacon Walks & Route Maps

This fantastic circular walk offers some of the best views on Exmoor, starting with a steady climb from the sart to the summit of Selworthy Beacon.

Along the route, you'll pass through beautiful woodlands and open countryside, with the chance to explore Bury Castle, an ancient Iron Age enclosure.

There is a lovely tea room 'Periwinkle Cottage' in Selworthy if you would like to stop for refreshments. Please check opening times.

This longer, more strenuous walk offers a diverse mix of terrain and scenery.

Starting in Selworthy village, the route takes you through Selworthy Woods and up to Selworthy Beacon, then past Bossington Hill before reaching Hurlstone Point and Bossington's pebble beach.

You'll also explore the charming villages of Bossington and Allerford. Be prepared for steep sections, as the walk passes through hilly terrain with rewarding views along the way.
