Somerset Walks
Set on the Somerset coast, the walks around Lilstock offer a mix of quiet shoreline, open countryside, and long views across the Bristol Channel.
These walks follow sections of established coastal routes, with mostly easy-going terrain and a few longer stretches depending on the direction you take.
One route keeps close to the shoreline and passes near the Hinkley Point site, while the other heads further along the coast and links with the King Charles III England Coast Path, with the option of a stop at Chantry Tea Rooms in Kilve.
Both walks can also be combined if you want to extend your time in this quieter part of the Somerset coast.

Walk information
This short Lilstock route is our first walk here and it's a peaceful coastal stroll, ideal for a quick sea air escape.
It follows part of the Castles and Coast Way, linking this quiet stretch of shoreline to a wider network of historic and coastal paths.
The route also passes the edge of the Hinkley Point site, offering an unusual contrast between open countryside and large-scale modern industry.
Walk information
This longer Lilstock route goes off in the other direction mixing the coast with countryside.
It links sections of the Castles and Coast Way with the wider King Charles III England Coast Path and partway around, there’s a welcome pause at Chantry Tea Rooms.
There is the option to mix walk 1 and 2 to make an even longer walk.
