Set on the coast at Walton-on-the-Naze, these walks make the most of the wide beaches and open skies of the beautiful Naze Peninsula.
The shorter option is a relaxed seaside loop, with a long stretch along the beach before returning via waterside paths beside the Walton Channel and Sole Creek.
The longer of the walks circles the entire peninsula and nature reserve, offering sweeping sea views, abundant birdlife and plenty of invigorating sea air.
Whether you’re after a gentle coastal wander or a full circuit of the Naze, these walks provide a refreshing day out by the water.

Walk information
This is a lovely short stroll around the coastline to the north of Walton-on-the-Naze.
You'll head along the beach for a long stretch of waterside walking before looping back to stroll through a residential street, and then back along some more waterside paths alongside the Walton Channel and Sole Creek.

The second route is the full walk that takes around the whole of the glorious Naze Peninsula and nature reserve.
You can expect lots of fresh sea air, an abundance of wildlife and some lovely views as you enjoy this wonderful walk.

First-hand experiences
The path at the beginning was closed, sign says until August 2027. You need to go atound the toilet block in the xar park and along the road to join the path
The car park is a pay and display at the start and cost me £5 for 3 hours. After reaching the Naze Tower and Cafe, head down the steps to the waters edge to continue along the prescribed route.
Nice flat walk although relatively steep bank right at the start to get going. Lots of tall grass jn the summer!
