The walk
Connaught Water Walk
This is a lovely, gentle, circular walk around Connaught Water and into the fringes of the northern sections of Epping Forest and Chingford Plain.
On Connaught Water you can see a wide variety of wildfowl and birds throughout the year. The lake is bordered by willows, and when you venture further into the Forest you get to see some of the ancient trees, including Grimstones Oak.
There is a cafe within walking distance of this route on the Chingford Plain.
