This is a lovely short, but varied, family-friendly walk starting from Chingford Plain car park and taking you through the ancient woodland of the southern end of Epping Forest.
Expect some wonderful woodland walking, a stroll around the pretty Connaught Water lake and lots of forest trails packed with glorious wildlife.

Having walked this in a wet December the mud was plentiful, but in drier conditions a buggy would of been able to do route.

If you have a bit more time, this longer route takes you much deeper into Epping Forest for a lovely and predominantly woodland adventure that also visits Connaught Water lake on the way around.

This is a lovely walk on good paths for most of it. However it was very wet on the day we went in January and lots of the paths were flooded, so take wellies if its been wet. I marked no loos but we did go past a cafe and visitor centre which probably both have them.
Lovely walk through Epping Forest with plenty of car parking. Well maintained paths. Route is easy to follow.
