The walk
Scotney Castle Walk
This is a lovely walk from the small village of Kilndown that takes you on a lovely loop of walking along the public footpaths going through the Scotney Castle Estate.
If you want to explore the beautiful gardens and wonderful castle in more detail you can visit and park at the castle itself for a fee. (See National Trust website)
This walk however uses free-to-access paths that give you a taste of the beautiful countryside surrounding the castle.
There is also a wonderful farm and restaurant/pub in the village. Check their website for opening times.
