Frensham Great Pond

This is a lovely short stroll around the wonderful Frensham Great Pond and Frensham Common.

Aside from enjoying the pretty lake itself with its massive beach, you'll venture to the east for a mild climb over the scenic King's Ridge with its woodland and great views over the common and lake.

If you have a bit more time, this second route is basically an extension to the first route that explores more of the wonderful Frensham Common.

The walk will enjoy the great pond with it's beach and the King's Ridge as on the first route, but this route also heads deeper into the common and visits the equally pretty Frensham Little Pond towards the northern end of the common.

If you really want to stretch your legs and explore the wonderful area of scenery around Frensham Common and the ponds, then this walk is a truly epic adventure for you to enjoy.

The first half of the walk is effectively the same as the second route, exploring Frensham Common, both of the great ponds and the King's Ridge.

However, after that you'll then head off on an extra long loop of walking around the pretty countryside to the west of the common, visiting a lovely pub in the village of Dockenfield on the way and also calling in on the village of Frensham itself.
